- 1. The United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) intends to conduct a competitivesolicitation exercise for the inspection, certification, maintenance and rigging services of various self standing and guyed wired telecommunications towers / structurers, at numerous UNFICYP island-widelocations. 2. UNFICYP currently has twenty-five towers ranging in height from 16 feet to 152 feet. Inspection and maintenance services include, but are not limited to, the inspection of tower structure and foundations, corrosion protection and repair, lighting systems maintenance, guy wire tensionsafety checks etc. Rigging services include the maintenance, installation, testing and commissioning of various telecommunications antennas and micowave links. In addition, the Contractor shall perform the certifications of structures and provide certification documentation, verifying that maintenanceand rigging services meet or exceed regulatory requirements. 3. All works performed shall comply with local EU safety standards and international rigging protocols. 4. The resulting contract shall be for an initial period of three (3) years, with an option to extend at UNFICYP's sole option, for amaximum of two (2) additional periods of up to one (1) year each (3+1+1 years). The Contract is anticipated to commence during the third quarter of 2025.5.
